An Alexander teacher teaches one how to become aware of poor movement habits and how to begin to correct these habits. An Alexander Teacher teaches one how to inhibit old harmful habits and how to direct new flexible movement so that the body can move with the grace and balance with which it was designed. It is surprising how much pain and discomfort can be alleviated when the body is free to move in the way it was designed to move.
